Jeb/Mojang announced that Minecraft will remain as an Xbox exclusive for the time being in terms of consoles. They are however looking into the PSP go and the PSVITA, aswell as the WiiU. Also, as Lunick said, the Wii simply would not be able to handle it. Unless of course the world size was decreased dramatically and such. I personally want to see Minecraft come to the PSVITA.
I recently purchased one and they are pretty damn good if you ask me. They're great for browsing. The PSN offers a fair lot of PSVITA content and the rear/front touch pad/screen sets it apart from most other portable devices. I also love that you can get almost all of the old PS1 games for the PSVITA via PSN.
Badass Content Minecraft
I'd recommend it, definitely. Anyway, as far as consoles go, Minecraft on PS3? I don't see it happening. And yes, Microsoft probably has some sort of promotion if not financial deal with Mojang to keep it exclusive, afterall, they are contesting on the gaming battlefield.
As much as I am a PS3 lover and Sony fanatic, this is how I think it is. But hey, things can change.
Hey I thought I quit WoM, oh yeah I did. Why am I still here? PSVITA hasn't gained allot of sales because of the Xbox/Nintendo fanboys. Of course the DS series is more popular than Sony's PSP series. If only people knew that the PSPs were better:P I actually think MC would suit the PSVITA, and it seems like a Wii kind of game TB100%H. My brother insisted on putting his 20c in - He says: I wish that Mojang would put Minecraft on PS3.
I'm not going to buy an XboX just to play MC.- Well, you blind moron, Mojang isn't going to spend money doing that, just so you can play Minecraft on your stupid prefered console. I'm pretty sure Microsoft have some sort of exclusivity with Mojang to keep it on the Xbox and not the Playstation.Lunick Microsoft has said the same thing in the past, for example GTA IV downloadable content. The DLC that was originally supposed to be 'Exclusive GTAIV DLC for XBOX' was released a year later on PS3 thankfully I wouldn't rule out completely on the possibility of Minecraft being on the PS3. I dont think any of those deals last until the end of time. And if mojang made a deal with no end time that's not very smart seeing how later on if microsoft doesn't want to pay for continued exclusivity, they could pull in more money from the Playstation Store.
