Check it out and lend a hand! Subreddits you may like. What are you looking for in a mud? If you like hack 'n slash try Aardwolf, Batmud, Alter Aeon If you want also roleplay + a nice hack 'n slash Forgotten Kingdoms may be up your alley.

If you want roleplay + a skill based system try Geas (and also Isylea if you can handle a mud entirely in Italian). If you are for sci-fi try Dunemud or Sindome If you want an rp mud with permadeath Armageddon, the Burning Post II and Inquisition A nice mud I like is also the End of Time, which has some peculiar features like being able to program a special limit break move for your character and a few other things. Edit: to be fair, many of those have minor interfaces that help you navigate and interact more easily, some more developed than others.

So whether they are good for you depends on how much graphics you want in your game. Isylea could definitely be considered a graphical mud, and a very good one at it, although oddly enough they actually don't call themselves mud at all! Batmud has too a well developed client. In the Italian mud community it was really a big thing, but we had popular 'graphical muds' already before 2000. Personally if I see a wilderness map, or any built-in mapper, I consider already the mud graphical to a small extent.

Not to mention ASCII graphics used in places other than the login screen. Edit: and apparently not just in Italy: You may want to think about some sort of more modern user-interface.

We have had lengthy discussions about that in the past. Some people think that anything that is not pure text is 'not a MUD', whilst others think that an enhanced user interface is just moving with the times. The 'graphics', and your mileage may vary of course, is the vt100 interface that you can turn on. It has a minimap in ASCII, especially in the wilderness, as well as the body of your character. Check 'help vt100'.

It should look like this: You can also see some ASCII decorations in game from time to time, like this: In any case, of the list, the most graphically enhanced of the bunch is definitely Isylea, that lets you even upload a custom picture for your character. Since you know Spanish check if you can try that. Also batmud has a good graphical client with a real graphical map. The others, while good games, can be argued, with some reason and to various extents, to have small graphic enhancements, such as health or mana bars, maps, etc. First, the wine you need is the 'stoup of spiced wine' number 7 in the list of the inn where you start, the Dripping Dagger. For moving in the city look at this map: The starting inn is the one at the Eastern end of Selduth Street, near the City of the Dead.

To get the first level also, check the Snookery near that inn, again on Selduth Street. To seek help also use the ask channel, typing 'ask ', like 'ask I need help to move in the streets.' There is a pretty helpful and effective newbie channel.
