Download Spawned Concurrent Program

Concurrent Program Executable Window. We recommend that you use spawned concurrent programs instead. Concurrent Program Executable Block.

Hi all, I hope this post finds you all well img class='emoticon' src='images/emoticons/grin.gif' border='0' alt=' width='16' height='16' / I have been asked to modify a standard Oracle EBS Financials report (Cross-Validation Rule Violation Report). On viewing the Concurrent Program Executable I was surprised to find it had an Execution Method of Spawned. Now I'm aware that a Spawned program is typically a C or Pro.C program.

I've located the executable I'm interested in ($FNDTOP/bin/FNDFFRXR) but is there any way I can view the source code of the compiled C code? I'm interested to know if the process is doing any configuration set up and if it then calls a.rdf file. Any help or advise greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Gary. Hi Pedro, Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, you can't add fields to the available field list in RX reports without trying to meddle with the supplied packages. Believe me when I say that I wish you could!

If the field you want is not available, a custom report is your best option. I've done that with the Receipt register and one of the aging reports. Are you using Oracle Sales? There might be a compatible report available there that you could look. I don't know anything about Sales so can't help there. Good luck, - James.

Hello Friends,Currently, I am automating the AP-GL Flow and once the AP Invoice is created and validated, we are running Payables Accounting Process to transfer the entries to AP to GL. Now, the problem is that Automation tool is not able to read the Batch name from Journal Import program output. So, the question is: Is there a way to find out the batch AP has created in GL which I can search for and post it to GL?

One option is there to use Concurrent program id but Journal Import program is spawned process and it's not possible to get the program's Concurrent ID. Apart from this, is there any other way to find out the Batch in GL?

Hi, We have a custom interface which was designed to retrieve data from a linked database. At design time, all the data in this database was input by series of online forms (Oracle Forms or Java forms). Recently, we are also accepting data into the same database from an OCR source - this was sensible as the data is for the type of transaction and meant not re-engineering/duplicating anything.

The custom PL/SQL interface to download all this data from the database is run from a concurrent program in EBS, associated to a specific 'user' for that process e.g. Everything works fine but the end-user would like to see whether the data was souced from an online form or an OCR scan.

Download Spawned Concurrent Program

We already hold this distinction on the linked database. I suspect theoretically I should be splitting the concurrent program into 2 programs; one for the online input and one from the OCR input and tweak each to retrieve the pertinent input types. However, this seems like unnecessary replication. My question is therefore can I toggle the current user context from within my PL/SQL process between the user associated with the concurrent program and a new user I will create for OCR sourced data? If so, how would I do this? This would enable the end-user to see either EFORM or OCR when viewing 'Created By' in the EBS application.

Using aspx or HTML will ger you just as far. You cannot interact with an HTA using Ajax. I see absolutely no advantage in using an HTA.

If a user downloads an HTA it will likely not run correctly until the blocking bit is cleared. It must be run from the local computer to be able to access files on the local computer. Ro do this any other way would require installing modules on the users computer. Look into XAML applications as they may be able to give you what you want without resorting to an old and obsolete technology (HTA) compared to PowerShell (Forms). I want to be able to run the concurrent program 'Catalog Bulk Load - Items Price Lists' for iProcurement.

I have been able to run concurrent programs in the past using the fndrequest.submitrequest API. But I seem to be having problems with the item loading concurrent program. For one thing, the program is stuck on phase code P (pending) status. When I run the same concurrent program using the iProcurement Administration page it runs ok. Has anyone been able to run this program through the backend?

If so, any help is appreciated. Hi, I am using the following code to call the above concurrent request to transfer the data from AR interface table to the base table. Hi, I have a OAF page using which I am submitting a concurrent program (an XML publisher report). After the program is submitted the system navigates to 'View Requests' page. Now if on the request page, if I click on the browser refresh button, the concurrent program is submitted again. The concurrent program is submitted as many times the refrsh button is clicked. How do I handle the browser back button functionality in my code so that when the user clicks on that the concurrent program is not submitted again. Thanks in advance for your help. Thanks, Saikat.

Hi, We are loading Customers through 'Customer Interface' with the requirement that for each customer a seperate Customer Interface program will be run. Now when we are uploading a bulk of data e.g. 10000+ records similar number of concurrent requests spawned and remains in the state of Pending Normal/Standby even after the successful loading of all records in the base tables. Now the status is as follows: 'Conflict Resolution Manager'= Actual Process 1 Target Process 1 Running requests 0/1 Pending 9991 'Standard Manager'= Actual Process 6 Target Process 6 Running requests 0/1 Pending 9991 however when after few minutes I will see in the customers form for the records being inserting, it will be there. Can I change anything in concurrent manager setting such that it can be refreshed at certain time and show us the right status of Concurrent Requests? Regards, Umair.

Hi, We have a AR form(ARXSUBAA.fmb) called CREATE AUTOADJUSTMENTS through which we can paas the parameters and submit the concurrent program called ARXAAP.This concurrent program is using the executable ARXAAP whose execution method is SPAWNED.I need to craete a customized concurrent program with additional parameters from the existing seeded AR concurrent program (ARXAAP).As it is very first time for me working on SPAWNED executable i do not know from where to get the source code and how to make the changes in the ProC code so that i can meet the requirement. Thanks for the reply. Hi, I have a strange problem. As part of Standard Collections, we are launching custom concurrent requests on the Source side (via dblinks) using FNDREQUEST.SUBMITREQUEST. Then the FNDREQUEST.WAITFORREQUEST is called, to check for the completion of these requests.

Concurrent

The requests are spawned successfully and they complete successfully on Source Side, but the FNDREQUEST.WAITFORREQUEST on the Planning Side, waits forever over dblink, for the program on the Source side to complete. I am not sure why it is not able to see that the program has completed.

The same program is working fine in another instance, whereas it is not working in one instance. I am at my wits end. Any pointers will be realllyyyyyy helpful please. Cilkscreen reported a data race in our code. The data race was between the dereference of a struct pointer so that we could pass a struct to a spawned cilk strand, and a modificaton to the struct through the pointer after the spawn. We thought that the arguments to a spawned cilk strand would be evaluation before the strand is created.

We found that cilkscreen reports the data race in the deref.cilk program but not the derefworks.cilk program. The difference is that we force the struct pointer dereference before the cilkspawn rather than in the cilkspawn function call. When are the arguments to a spawned cilk strand bound? If the arguments are bound before spawning the cilk strand, then the deref.cilk program is correct. However, cilkscreen says that we have a data race between the creation of the arguments to the spawned function f and the zero of the element on the subsequent line. This indicates a bug in either the cilk compiler or in cilkscreen. If the arguments are bound after spawning the cilk strand, the the deref.cilk program is not correct.

However, the cilk programmer's guide is not specific about when pass by value arguments are evaluated. If one changes the argument type from a 'struct p' to an int, then cilkscreen does not find any issues. This indicates that the cilk compiler does not handle struct arguments correctly. This is captured in the derefint.cilk program. Cilk evaluates all function arguments before the spawn. I've looked into your example briefly and I believe you have found a bug in the compiler.

Internally, gcc on x8664 passes all structs by reference, but should make necessary copies in pass-by-value examples. My guess about what is happening here is that the compiler discovers that f does not modify its argument and that, therefore, it can avoid an extra copy of the struct. This would be a valid optimization for a serial call, but is incorrect for the cilkspawn case. I don't have time to test it right now, but I suspect that if you were to modify the argument to f within if, that the compiler would turn off the optimization and cilkscreen would stop complaining.

If you have a moment to test this, we'd be interested in the results. Thanks, - Pablo. Hi Hussein: We schedule a concurrent program to process PO as early as 2.00 AM. Every day it process about 6000 PO's. Every time a PO is processed, it spawns another PO Output for Communication Program.

So in total roughly about 12000 jobs at 9.30 AM. This puts an extensive load on the system.

What I wanted to do is to change the status of the PO Output for communication Program as soon as it is spawned. I want to create a new program which will run the following script to change the status. Update fndconcurrentrequests set phasecode='C',statuscode='C' where requestid IN (select requestid from fndconcurrentrequests where phasecode='P' and statuscode='I' and requestedby=2137 and concurrentprogramid=45109); commit; What is the best way of creating this program and add that as a child of PO Output for communication. You're better off posting issues of concurrent programs on the EBS forums; Also, every concurrent program is associated with an executable, which can be a pl/sql procedure, ProC or unix shell script, so after logging on to the Java console you can view the concurrent program and the executable.

If it is a procedure or package.procedure, then you can view the source code in SQL Plus using the following query; set pagesize 5000 select text from usersource where name = 'PROCEDURE NAME LISTED IN JAVA CONSOLE ASSOCIATED WITH CONCURRENT PROGRAM'. I'm working on R12 and I'm trying to create and test eText template. My problem is that I don't know how to get XML data that will be used as data source for this template. When I was working with tipical RTF templates I would first define concurrent program that I will use as data source (output type would be xml).

And I would ran this report once to get the XML file out. But here I don't know how to get this XMLdata. I tried to read documentation and search this forum and metalink but was unable to find. Also I noticed that it's not the same deal with eText templates as it is with RTF templates regarding Data Source definitions.

With Data Source definitions in CODE I would write short name of concurrent that would give me xml data. But I looked in one example (Belgian EFT that came with instalation) and code that was written in there wasn't defined in EBS as concurrent. Thanks, Tomislav. All the shipping examples (HelpFind Examples) have a block diagram (the code part) that can be viewed. Some of the functions on the functions palette are VIs with block diagrams and some a basic functions that you cannot view the code. Programs written by someone else may have the block diagram password protected or removed. Your question is a little like 'how high is up?'

Based on your question, you may not know what a block diagram or function palette is. You really should start at at the very least, take the 3 hour introductory class so you can ask the correct question and understand the answer. Hi Harish, Doesn't matter what you need to do all you need is the hook! Force the request to print and use print driver to call CONCSUB to submit your new 'child' request - Since the Consolidation Trasnfer concurrent request could only be submitted through Consolidation Trasnfer Form only, I am not sure how we can do Force Print for this request. GR: Set printer and style on concurrent program definition.

Set profile option 'Concurrent:Report Copies' to 1 (even by Forms Personalization if you want to). Still think this is the best option. C) Abstraction. Replace the C executable with a shell script that takes arguments and calls the C program and then submits new 'child' request via CONCSUB - Appreciate, if you can elaborate this option. I think we can try this, with the help of your detailed input.

GR: Change the executable on the concurrent program to a host shell script under your mods application. Initially just get the shell script to capture program call and arguments. Run the program to get arguments. Next iteration, change shell script to call the C program from your shell script with correct arguments. Next iteration do the same plus call CONCSUB to submit request / set.

Trigger on fndconcurrentrequests to call new 'child' request via fndrequest.submitrequest - NB: very unsupported! Make sure trigger doesn't raise an exception. On completion of the Consolidation Transfer concurrent request, we tried to submit the request set using the Trigger on Consolidation History table and/or fndconcurrentrequests table.

But it is entering into infinite loop. GR: Need to use trigger condition to capture update of statuscode to C (Completed) and other codes e.g.

Personally I'd avoid this option because you have others! Although once I did use this method when I wanted absolute transparency:-) Update: Changed 'Print: Copies' to 'Concurrent:Report Copies' Regards, Gareth Edited by: gareth.roberts on Dec 8, 2008 4:55 PM. Hi all, I hope this post finds you all well.

I have been asked to modify a standard Oracle EBS Financials report (Cross-Validation Rule Violation Report).

I have a program running in R12 that checks the statuscode of a concurrent request and then checks the statuscode of any child processes that may have been spawned.

It works great when the child processes have the parent request ID populated in fndconcurrentrequests.parentrequestid. However, sometimes the value for parentrequestid = -1 and my program can't find the child processes.

What causes the value of fndconcurrentrequests.parentrequestid to be -1? I only have 2 test cases so far.

Fndload Concurrent Program

Case #1 works where the parent request runs in our Custom Application and spawns children in our Custom Application. Case #2 gets parentrequestid = -1 where the parent request runs in our Custom Application and submits a child concurrent process running in the BOM Application.

Concurrent Program Return Code

Does switching applications cause it to lose the parentrequestid? I have concurrent program parameter which has valueset with validation type pair. And it uses FND POPIDR user exit to get flexfield data. I need to disable flex field value set security for on concurrent program parameter that people could enter any code combinations they need, but I can't disable valueset security, because it will affect other concurrent requests in application. As I know there is no option in FND POPIDR to disable security. Is there any other way how to preserver flexfield popup in parameter form and force it to ignore valuset security rules? Hello I included below code in my procedure which will get called from a concurrent program from Oralce Application (11.5.10.2).

When I run this refresh command from SQL/TOAD it is working but erroring out (Error: ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement) when the same getting called from a concurrent program. This is happening because of large number of receiving processes being spawned at the same time.
